Chittaranjan: S Mookerjee, Financial Commissioner (Rlys), Railway Board and Ex-Officio Secretary to Govt of India visited Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) recently. A cultural programme was organised in honour of the visiting guest by CLW Cultural Association in Chittaranjan Club. Mr.Mookerjee visited the Desh bandhu Loco Park & Ganga Boat Club and enjoyed the joy ride on Fairy Princess toy train.
He addressed the Supervisors & Office Staff of Accounts & EDP Department in the Basanti Institute auditorium. Later, Mr.Mookerjee had a meeting with the Officers of Accounts Dept & EDP Dept and also had a meeting with C.P Tayal, General Manager. Memorandums have been handed over to the visiting dignitary by members of CLW Staff Council in the presence of CPO & CMO.
In another meeting with Sr.Officers in the Administrative meeting room, he addressed PHODs & HODs and discussed various issues, followed by a presentation. MrTayalalong with A. Singh, Chief mechanical Engineer; Pragya Shangari, Financial Adviser & Chief Accounts Officer; A.Majumdar, Chief Medical Officer; B.R.Kanwar, Chief Engineer; G.SrinivasaRao, Chief Personnel Officer; Hradai Narain, FA&CAO(P) and other senior officers of CLW were present in the meeting. In his brief address he appreciated the good work being done by CLW and wished a prosperous future.
SECR hosts Inter-Division Cultural Dance Contest
The South East Central Railway (SECR), Raipur division on Tuesday hosted an inter-divisional cultural dance competition ‘Nupur’ in WRS (Wagon Repair Shop) Colony here.
The objective of competition was to encourage talent and interest of Railway employees and their relatives towards different art forms including dance, singing and playing musical instruments, said SECR Public Relations Officer of Raipur division Ratan Basak.
As many as 12 teams from Raipur, Bilaspur and Nagpur division registered their participation in the contest.
Divisional Railway Manager (Raipur division) Rahul Gautam was present as chief guest of the programme and Chairperson of South East Central Railway Women Welfare Organization (SECRWWO) Pushpalata Gautam attended the event as special invitee.
