Railways to implement ERP Solution in next few months: Suresh Prabhu

Railways will completely move towards the e-tendering process to eliminate corruption. One-ICT Meeting to finalise the modalities of financing, execution, strategy and the framework of the project, he said.

NEW DELHI: The Railways will move to technology-enabled enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution in the next few months, Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu said on Thursday.

“It is a great opportunity for India to improve productivity through technology. ERP could be a game changer. Implementation of ERP in railways will be world’s biggest ERP. We will start implementing it in the next few months,” Prabhu said at ICAl’s sustainable infrastructure event in New Delhi.

He also said that the One-ICT Conference to be held next week will sort out various aspects of the project implementation including the project financing, execution, strategy and the framework apart from the discussions with various OEMs and Partners from the industry.
