Raipur MP inaugurates RO Water Plant at Raipur Railway Station

Raipur: A slew of services were dedicated to the public on the ninth day of ongoing Railway Consumer Fortnight here.A RO water plant was inaugurated at Raipur Railway Station by Member of Parliament from Raipur, Ramesh Bais.

He also performed foundation laying  of escalator to be installed on Gudhiyari side and dedicated the newly-constructed Foot Over Bridge (FOB) connecting all platforms at the Raipur Railway Station.

Divisional Railway Manager, Raipur, Rajiv Saxena informed MP Ramesh Bais about different facilities available at Raipur Railway Station. The guest appreciated the development works going on at the Railway station.

The DRM said that RO water will be available free of cost and very soon escalator will also be started. Budget of Rs62.29 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of escalator and its roof. Likewise Rs6.85 lakh was spent on RO plant and for expanding FOB, Rs1.09 crore would be spent, he said.

The International Railway Crossing Day was also observed for making people aware on safety issues while passing through Railway crossings.
