RDSO is expected to conduct trial runs fo the Jaipur Metro project in April or May this year. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which is implementing the project, has asked the RDSO to conduct the trial run so that the project can be commissioned soon. Recently, the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety for the project was nominated and DMRC plans to submit details to the authority soon. The Commissioner of Western Railway has been nominated to give safety clearance to the project. DMRC has even started applying to get mandatory safety certificates that will be issued after inspection by various agencies in order to ensure that the deadline for the final run of the Metro route (Mansarovar to Chandpole) is met. DMRC submitted the required documents to seek approval from the RDSO. Correspondence has also been done to settle down the queries of the RDSO and approval is expected soon. The certification involves various agencies and will take atleast two months time to check all the safety and operational parameters.
