Bhopal (BPL): A lady Sub- Inspector of Railway Police Force ( RPF) was allegedly beaten up in full public view by his sub-ordinate ASI inside chowky at railway station on Sunday morning.
However initially the senior officials concerned tried to hush up the incident but investigation was later started into the case following the written complaint of victim SI to RPF Commandant Vijay Kumar Khatarkar.
According to the information the incident took place in between 8am to 10am while an auto- rickshaw driver Anil Chaubey reached RPF Chowki for release of his son Sonu who is vendor in train and was caught by TC from reservation coach of train and was later handed over to RPF. The accused ASI (RPF), Awadesh Pratap Singh has been accused of taking Rs 500 from Chaubey for releasing his son.
However, when his senior, SI (RPF) Shweta Suryavansi, came to know about ASI taking money she told him to return the money and release Sonu for which he refused and told her to mind her own business.
Later a heated exchange ensued between them following which accused Awadesh slapped Shweta and also threatened her saying that he is kin of former minister and no one in the department dares to take action against him.
Subsequently, the ASI also lodged a complaint in the FIR register against SI Suryavanshi and informed the senior officials concerned in this regard.
However further investigation was on in this regard till the filing of report.
