Rs.28 Crore for Nangal-Talwara Rail Line released

Una Himachal (UHL):  Ministry of Railways has released Rs.28 crore for carrying on further work on Nangal-Talwara rail line beyond Amb in district Una.

Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Saturday said that due to concerted efforts of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, the Union Ministry of Railways conceded to his requests. “The released amount is the required amount for completion of the left out work, which was a long pending issue,” said Agnihotri and added that earlier the Union Railway Ministry was adamant for identifying Government land for extending the railway network but since there was not enough Government land, hence it was decided to provide adequate compensation to the people of the area, whose land falls under the project.

Agnihotri said the Chief Minister time and again met Union Minister of Railways Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leadership to approve the funds for strengthening the Nangal-Talwara railway network.
