Secunderabad: The South Central Railway will observe Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 2 the theme being ‘Promoting Good Governance – Positive Contribution by Vigilance’.
The vigilance wing of SCR will organise programmes during the week to create awareness against corruption and malpractices by involving zonal headquarters, six divisions, five workshops and a few extra divisional offices in the zone having a total strength of nearly 85,000 employees.
The Week will commence with employees of all units taking a pledge on Monday to remain honest in discharging their duties. The pledge will be administered by SCR additional General Manager K.L. Pande at the zonal headquarters here.
On Tuesday, a special programme will be organised. It will be presided over by General Manager AK Mittal. Former Union home secretary K.Padmanabhaiah will be the chief guest. The objective of the Vigilance Awareness Week is to combat corruption in railways through participative and proactive vigilance management.
