SCR Women’s Welfare Organization Celebrates 69th Republic Day

SECUNDERABAD: The South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SCRWWO) celebrated  69th Republic Day Celebrations today i.e., 26th January, 2018 amongst the school kids of Vidhya Vihar High School, Chilkalguda, Secunderabad.

Smt. Archana Yadav, President, SCRWWO, South Central Railway hoisted the National Flag in the presence of a large number of students at Vidhya Vihar High School, Chilkalguda, Secunderabad.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Smt. Archana Yadav called upon the students to imbibe the path of National leaders who scarified their lives for the welfare of society. She also advised students to develop their academic knowledge and cultural talent. She expressed wishes for a bright future of the students pursuing their education at Vidya Vihar School run by SCRWWO. Later, she awarded cash prize to the participants who participated in the Cultural program and announced the exemption of school fee to the students who excelled in academics.

Vidhya Vihar School was established in the year 1974 as an upper primary school and upgraded to high school in the year 1997-98. It is providing education for about 210 students from LKG to SSC. The school has a spacious building with well equipped laboratory and library. Computer Education has been introduced as curriculum in all classes. Apart from the above, students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities like, Scouts & Guides, Sports & Games etc.

Aakanksha, the school for divyang children of Railway families is run by Railway Parents Association and supported by SCRWWO. It was set up in the year 1992 with 40 children which has reached a strength of 90 children of different age groups providing academic, pre-vocational training to the children. Ms.Archana Yadav visited the Aakanksha school and distributed School shoes to the Students.

Later, Smt Archana Yadav along with executive members of SCRWWO visited Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda and distributed items of need to the patients. Dr.T.S.R.Murthy, Medical Director, Central Hospital, Lallaguda also participated.
