Seminar on Sanitation & Upkeeping of Railway Stations organised during Swachhata Pakhawada at Bhubaneswar Station

BHUBANESWAR: On the 2nd Day of Swachhata Pakhawada the theme was “Swachhata Sambad”.  To mark the occasion a Seminar on “Sanitation and upkeeping of Railway Stations” was organised today at Bhubaneswar Railway Station at “Sakhayam Transition Hall” as a part of Swachhata activities.

Dr.J.P. Panda, Chief Health Director of East Coast Railway graced the occasion a Chief Guest.   Dr. Prabhat Kumar Pattnaik, Sr. Divisional Medical Officer of Khurda Road and Shri Nirakar Das, Sr.Public Relations Officer spoke on various aspects of Cleanliness and Sanitaton.  Shri R.K.Satapathy and Shri R.C.Mahapatra from Pipili Sankrutika Sanha, Chittaranjan Nayak, Station Director of Bhubaneswar and Shri Subrat Mandal, Asst. Health Officer and Shri Bimal Misra of Bharat Scout and Guides also spoke of the occasion.

Volunteers of Bharat Scout and Guides, Pipli Sanskrukita Sangha, Child Help Line and Society for Children were attended the Seminar.  Shri Alok Singh, Chief Health Inspector coordinated the Programme.

Similarly, Painting and Poster competition on the theme of Cleanliness was also organised at Community Hall, Rail Vihar.  Dr.Prabhat Kumar, Chief Personal Officer of East Coast Railway organised the competition.  A total number of 75 school children of Railway employees took part in the competition.
