SER to run Howrah-Tatanagar Jn. Steel Express with LHB Coaches

KOLKATA: With a view to provide more secure and comfortable journey to the travelling passengers, South Eastern Railway has planned to run 12813/12814 Howrah-Tatanagar Steel Express with modern LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches instead of existing conventional coaches. The services of 12813/12814 Howrah-Tatanagar Steel Express with LHB rake will start from Howrah and Tatanagar with effect from 11.06.2018 and 12.06.2018 respectively. The on board catering services will be available as usual.

With the introduction of LHB rake, 12813/12814 Howrah-Tatanagar Steel Express consisting of 22 coaches will have the following revised composition on and from 11.06.2018 from Howrah and on and from 12.06.2018 from Tatanagar up to 30.06.2018:-

2nd Class Chair Car(Reserved) – 9, 2nd Class Chair Car(Unreserved) – 6, AC Chair Car – 3, AC First Class – 1, AC 3-tier – 1 & Power-cum- Generator Car -2.

However, on and from 01.07.2018 from Howrah and on and from 02.07.2018 from Tatanagar onwards, the composition of the train will slightly be changed replacing the AC 3-Tier Coach. Instead, AC Chair Car Coach will be increased from 3 to 4.

Railways have taken decision to run all mail/express trains with LHB Coaches in the near future for the safety and convenience of the travelling passengers.
