Kolkata (KOAA): The 37th All India Railways Bridge Championship organized by South Eastern Railway Sports Association (SERSA) was inaugurated by G.K. Mohanty, Chief Operations Manager, South Eastern Railway today at BNR Officers’ Club, S.E.Railway headquarters, Garden Reach.
Monoj Pandey, Chief Personnel Officer & President, SERSA, Tanuja Thakur Khalko, Dy. FA&CAO and General Secretary, SERSA and other senior Railway Officers were present at the inaugural ceremony. Gora Roy Chowdhury, Director, West Bengal Bridge Association, who will conduct the three-day Bridge Tournament from 21st to 23rd September, 2014 was also present.
Altogether seven zonal railways and workshops across the country and Kolkata Port Trust will take part in the three-day championship. The participating Railways include North East Frontier Railway, Central Railway, Eastern Railway, Metro Railway, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works and South Eastern Railway.
Sandip Datta, Manas Mukherjee, Subir Majumdar of S.E.Railway, Rana Roy, A.N. Banerjee of Eastern Railway, Sumit Mukherjee, D. Majumdar of Metro Railway are the international players who are taking part in this All India Railways Bridge Championship.
