Sojitz, L&T bag Rs 6,700 cr rail contract

New Delhi, Jun 8: A consortium of Larsen and Toubro Ltd and Japan-based Sojitz has bagged a Rs 6,700-crore railway contract, one of the country’s biggest, for construction of 640-km-long twin-track line that will form part of the western dedicated freight corridor.

The firms will design and construct the track between Rewari in Haryana and Palanpur in Gujarat, said an official of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL).
