South Eastern Railway Central Hospital organises Football Tournament

Kolkata: The South Eastern Railway Central Hospital, Garden Reach is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year.  In commemoration of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, a Football Tournament under the aegis of Medical Staff Recreation Club was organised at the B N R Recreation Club Ground, Garden Reach recently.  The Central Hospital was set up in 1963 for the benefit of staff and officers of SER and their dependents and is considered amongst the most well equipped Government Hospitals in Kolkata. Altogether six teams (3 each in Group “A” & “B”) from the various sections of Medical Department including Doctors, Nursing staff, Paramedics, and other staff of South Eastern Railway took part in the tournament.  In the final, Team – 4 (named Team Maradona) defeated Team – 3 (named Team Beckenbauer) 3-1.  Dr. P.K.Majumdar was the Highest Scorer of the tournament while Sri Amit Pachal was adjudged the Man of the Tournament. Sri B. Rajesh was selected as the Fastest Goal Scorer.
