Nellayi (NYI): The Central Railway will be operating a weekly special train between Tirunelveli and Mumbai CST in order to clear the extra rush of traffic during the winter season. According to a statement from the railways, train No. 01067 Mumbai-Tirunelveli Weekly Special Express will leave Mumbai CST at 12.20am on Saturdays and arrive at Tirunelveli at 11.15am on Sundays from December 21 to January 4 (three services). In the opposite direction, train No. 01068 Tirunelveli – Mumbai CST Weekly Special Express will leave Tirunelveli at 1pm on Sundays and arrive Mumbai CST at 11pm on Mondays from December 22 to January 5 (three services).
The composition of the trains will be 1 first AC-cum-AC 2-tier, 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class, 4 general second class, 1 pantry car and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Valliyur, Nagercoil Town, Eraniel, Kulitturai, Neyyatinkara, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayankulam, Chenganur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Shoranur Jn, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalasery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad, Kasargod, Mangalore, Suratkal, Udupi, Kundapur, Bhatkal, Kumta, Karwar, Madgaon, Karmall, Thivim, Kudal, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Roha, Panvel, Thane and Dadar.
