SR to regulate services along Piravom-Mulanthuruthy railway stretch

KOCHI: The services along the Piravom Road-Mulanthuruthy railway stretch will be regulated from October 19, 23 and 26 in view of the yard remodeling works at Piravom Road railway station for track doubling.

Trains cancelled on Oct 19 are: Kottayam- Ernakulam Passenger (56390), Ernakulam-Alappuzha-Kayamkulam Jn passenger (56381), Kayamkulam-Alappuzha-Ernakulam Jn passenger (56382) and Ernakulam Jn-Kottayam Passenger (56385). Kollam- Ernakulam Passenger (56392) will run only till Kottayam while fast passenger between Guruvayur and Punalur (56365/56366) will be cancelled between Punalur and Ernakulam Town. Venad Express between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Shoranur Jn will be cancelled between Kottayam and Shoranur.

The New Delhi- Thiruvananthapuram Central Kerala express (12626) will be detained at Mulanthuruthy for 40 minutes.

The Nagercoil- Mangalore Central Parasuram Express (16650) and Janshatabdi Express from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram (12081), originally running via Kottayam, will be diverted via Alappuzha and will have stops at Alappuzha and Harippad.
