SWR Mazdoor Union protest ‘harassment’ of railway employees

HUBLI: Members of South Western Railway, Mazdoor Union took out a procession and staged a protest to condemn the alleged harassment of railway employees by some senior officials in Hubli railway division here on Monday.

Protestors alleged that some senior officers in railway division are harassing employees and also punishing them severely for even minor mistakes. It should be stopped to create conducive atmosphere for employees to work in the division, said protestors.

They also demanded the transfer of some of the senior officials of South Western Railway for their alleged failure to protect the interest of the employees.

Speaking to TOI, A M D’Cruz, General Secretary of SWR Mazdoor Union, who led the agitation, alleged that they staged the protest in Hubli in demanding of transfer the ADME and ADRM of SWR, because some senior officers are imposing heavy punishment on workers and they are not giving the respect for the workers.
