BANGALORE: As the new Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meeting sets in, the railway admits to have achieved 12pc cumulative growth in earnings, passenger amenities, new facilities and punctuality of trains.
On Wednesday, the new committee started working with the chairmanship of Anil Agarwal, Divisional railway Manager of Bangalore of the south western railway. N Ramesh, senior divisional commercial manager is the secretary of DRUCC Bangalore divisions while G Venuadav was elected at the chairman of the Zonal RUCC in Hubli.
There are 16 members in the Bangalore committee and the tenure is two years. Several issues cropped up in the first meeting, of which quite a few will be sent to the railway board for consultations.
