Three robbers nabbed at Nagpur Railway Station

NAGPUR: Government Railway Police (GRP) nabbed three armed robbers after their alleged involvement in a couple of daring snatching incidents came to fore in the second week of June. The miscreants targeted the passengers travelling in the general coach.

Manmad GRP had registered two similar kinds of cases of armed robberies where three goons looted the passengers in the general coach. Following a tip-off, police nabbed Vijay Sable, his younger brother Ravindra and Devidas Sonwane from Malegaon. The trio used toy pistols apart from sharp weapons to commits the crime. Police recovered Rs 750 from the trio apart from the weapons they used for looting the people. After committing the crime, the trio would pull the chain of the train and jump off it after it slowed down.

The gang had looted passengers on June 15 in the Karmabhoomi Express where they decamped with Rs 1,550 from two passengers and injured some of them. On June 13, the robbers fled with Rs 2,500 from the passengers from general coach of Kushinagar Express.
