Titagarh Wagons scraps plan to demerge its coach manufacturing business

ThumbDetailHandler.ashxTitagarh Wagons, wagon and railway coach-maker has scrapped plan to demerge its coach manufacturing business into a new company, on the back of slow order flow for wagons from Indian Railways. It had decided to demerge the business in order to concentrate more on each of the current division businesses. Its board had also approved demerger of rail coaches division into an existing subsidiary of Titagarh Wagons, in November.

Titagarh Wagons is engaged in manufacturing of railway wagons, bailey bridges, heavy earth moving and mining equipment, steel and SG iron castings of moderate to complex configuration. It also manufactures special wagons, shelters and other engineering equipment for the Indian defence establishment.
