Train attack: RPF men get anticipatory bail

Chittoor:  The Andhra Pradesh High Court granted anticipatory bail to two Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, Kannan and Vasu, of Chittoor railway station, in the Kerala Express in which a CRPF inspector was reportedly beaten up leading to his death.

The order dated November 28 was produced at the Government Railway Police station in Chittoor on Saturday evening. The GRP sub-Inspector said that the information regarding the bail order was conveyed to the higher authorities. The two accused RPFs presented themselves before the GRP station, but were asked to come on Monday, the RPF inspector at Chittoor said. The CRPF man succumbed to the injuries forcing the GRP to alter the assault case into murder charges.
