Train carrying Sikh pilgrims reaches Pakistan

Pakistan assure strict security measures are in place for protection of special train passengers

The first special train‚ carrying around 1000 Sikh Yatrees‚ reached Wagah railway station from India on Friday afternoon.

Yatrees will attend celebrations of Sikh religion founder Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birth anniversary at Nankana Sahib.

At the Wagha Railway Station‚ officials of Evacuee Trust Property Board and office bearers of Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Pakistan received the Yatrees. Strict security measures are in place for protection of special train passengers.

During their stay in Pakistan‚ the Sikh Yatrees will also visit their other sacred places in Lahore‚ Succha Soda and Hassan Abdal.
