Shimla: The survey of the 50.250 km rail line between Una and Hamirpur has been completed in a record time of two years. The line will have four crossing stations, one junction in Una and one terminal in Hamirpur. The total project cost will be about 3,000 crore and investment will be scheduled for five years. This was stated by Hamirpur Member of Parliament Mr.Anurag Thakur, who recently met Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu to discuss the project. He asked for funds saying the rail link would take load off roads.
Survey work on the proposed Dahanu-Nashik rail link project, which has been stalled for several decades, is in progress, according to an RTI query. BJP’s National Council member and social activist Om Prakash Sharma had filed the Right To Information (RTI) query with the Central Railway, seeking to know the status of railway projects in Maharashtra.
