VADODARA: The Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh (WRMS) will organize grand victory celebrations on Monday to celebrate the appointment of wards in railway in Group D category.
WRMS’s general secretary J G Mahurkar had discussed the issue of appointment of wards in Group D category in grade pay of Rs 1,800 and has given the suggestion that the standard eight pass wards, who were not eligible in 2011 may be merged with the larsgess selection of 2012.
A joint meeting of Mahurkar will be held shortly in headquarter office, Churchgate, Mumbai to finalize the issue.
Mahurkar has also requested chief personnel officer, Churchgate, Mumbai to take a local decision with the recognized unions to solve the problem of appointment of 338 wards of railway employee at the earliest.
WRMS was the first union to represent and make the reference to general manager on this subject on May 14, this year.
The headquarter office, Mumbai has agreed to merge the eligible wards of railway employees of 2011 in the selection of 2012. The orders will be issued shortly by the headquarter office.
The victory celebrations will be organized at platform number one at 9 am which will be attended by wards and employees in large numbers.
