WR conducts survey on Commuter preferences at Mumbai stations for fast locals

Mumbai: What do you want your local platform indicators to display? This is the question Western Railway (WR) authorities are asking their commuters by way of an opinion poll on the social media.

The precise question for the poll is ‘Stopping or Not Stopping?’. “Currently, WR indicators display station names where fast trains do not halt. For example, Vile Parle, Santa Cruz, Khar, etc. We would like to know if the passengers want us to display station names where fast trains make a halt or keep it as it is,” said an official.

At the moment, Central Railway displays station names where fast trains make a halt, like Byculla, Dadar and Ghatkopar. If WR changes its display boards, there will be parity between both the railway networks.

Those who want themselves to be heard should post their opinion on WR’s Facebook page. They can even e-mail their suggestion.
